During my six-month UX design internship at Prosal, I've embarked on an incredibly enriching and transformative journey. Immersed in startup life and workflow, I've tackled a variety of design challenges, from creating a chatbot interface to developing the current dashboard on our platform. This diversity in experiences, coupled with engaging weekly challenges and my unique design process, has been the most valuable aspect of this internship.
My journey with Prosal began unexpectedly during a sales class in my junior year at Tufts University. This experience taught us the importance of agility in understanding our target market and refining outreach methods. What set Prosal apart was its unwavering focus on delivering a user-friendly interface, aligning perfectly with my background in user-centered design and my familiarity with RFPs, known for their complexity. At Prosal, I've been able to contribute to making RFPs more accessible and user-friendly.
One of my favorite projects has been redesigning and engineering the latest dashboard and homepage. We evolved from a cluttered array of filters and pages to a unified, organized dashboard — my 'digital baby.' Watching the mockups I've created being implemented on the platform has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my internship, allowing me to see my work come to fruition.
This internship has not only honed my UX design skills but also instilled a sense of accomplishment and pride in the impact of my work on Prosal's user experience. Being part of Prosal's early growth phase has been an energizing experience. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the company's journey and look forward to continuing my work with Prosal in the coming months.
Special thanks to Prosal's co-founders Nick, Nyle, and Alfredo for their exceptional guidance, mentorship, and for creating an inspiring learning environment!
